Relaxation of functionals with linear growth: Interactions of emerging measures and free discontinuities

چکیده
Abstract For an integral functional defined on functions ( u , v stretchy="false">) ∈ W 1 × L {(u,v)\in W^{1,1}\times L^{1}} featuring a prototypical strong interaction term between u and v , we calculate its relaxation in the space of with bounded variations Radon measures. Interplay measures discontinuities brings various additional difficulties, concentration effects recovery sequences play major role for relaxed even if limit are absolutely continuous respect to Lebesgue one.
